Five Rotary Clubs gather to Package Food for Meals of Hope

What do five rotary clubs do for fun on a Friday night in late November? They roll up their sleeves and package 80,000 meals for those in need. Kathy Burns, president of the Rotary Club of Morrisville, organized the project with the help of a non-profit organization called Meals of Hope. Four other clubs from District 7710, The Rotary Clubs of Apex, Apex Sunrise, Cary Kildaire, and Cary Page plus Green Hope High School’s Interact Club joined the Morrisville club in providing the manpower and funding for this project. The YMCA Northwest and CrossPointe Church provided the location and volunteers from the community. The meals were given to our local food bank to be distributed locally.
