boys and girls home

You are invited to attend Rotary Day, February 12, 2017, at Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina, a statewide project of the Rotarians of North Carolina.

Our support as North Carolina Rotarians for this organization is longstanding. In the mid 1960’s, all six Rotary Districts in North Carolina participated in fundraising and planning of the Rotary Cottage at Lake Waccamaw  Boy’s  Home  (now known as Boys & Girls Homes).

The Boys & Girls Homes is dedicated to providing a comprehensive array of residential and community based services to meet the needs of vulnerable children by addressing their physical, emotional, social, educational and spiritual development.  As of today, more than 6,000 children have benefited from the services of the Boys & Girls Homes. These children, suffering from neglect and abuse, have come from virtually every corner and county in North Carolina from the mountains to the coast!

Come join other Rotarians on Rotary Day, February 12, 2017, and find out more about how Rotarians have impacted the lives of young North Carolinians for more than a half century.

If you have any questions, contact Hensley Scott at or (919) 795-8292.
